BOW DOWN IN AWE!!!!
I’m very pumped. It’s the first of the 7 (maybe 8) but definitely 7 Star Trek TNG Seasonal Award Podcasts with the adorable, insightful, highly amusing Renee Schultz! We talk sexy cast members, shitty ways to get posessed and which Worf ridge is the real Worf ridge. Read the rest of this entry »
Or Ja’ Kreature or James Barr. AWARD WINNING filmmaker Myles Kane is back on the couch to watch Tom Cruises new mistaken identity thriller??? I guess? If anyone knows what this movie is about please leave it in the comments section. Otherwise enjoy.
I could not be more excited for Martin McDonagh’s new movie. So much so that I ended the 2 and half month Trailer podcast drought and my ban on women in the Trailer pods in order to talk about it with Donna Lobello. I thought since Augusta could let in women so could The Watching Trailers podcast. So sit back relax and listen to us chat about soy meat, Donna’s girl crushes and what it really takes to get Tom Waits into a movie. Trailer after the break.
Awesome begins here: 7psychos_1-2
After months of editing and procrastination, the donut podcast has arrived. I took myself, my daughter and the lovely Kristie Malevindi across several donut haunts in Brooklyn and the big island looking for my new favorite donut.
Just for reference here are a few of the stops we made (in chronological order).
Dunkin Donuts – 643 Manhattan Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11222
Peter Pan- 727 Manhattan Avenue New York, NY 11222
Dough- 305 Franklin Avenue, New York, NY
Dunwell’s- 222 Montrose Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11206
Pies N’ Thighs – 166 South 4th Street Brooklyn, NY 11211
Donut Pub – 203 West 14th Street Manhattan, NY 10011
Donut Plant – 220 West 23rd Street New York, NY 10011
Penn Station – 34th between 7th and 8th New York, NY 10012
Note: I have since tried the elusive Creme Brulee donut at Donut Plant and it maybe number 4.
Its the first vintage trailer podcast. Yippie! A little personal background on Mask: scarred me and my brother for life. I think I was 8 when my Mom decided to tape this off HBO between two movies I did not find completely uncomfortable to be in the same room with, Commando and Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. Mask is the story of Rocky Dennis, a kid who had a giant deformed head and spoke like he was constantly trying out for NPR. Add to that Cher playing his Mom and Peter Bogdonovich’s shitty ascot and you have a bonified horror show. (Oh the ascots!)
To take my internet revenge on Mask, we’ve found the trailer from 1985. Which doesn’t even need a podcast to understand how sucky it is. But what fun would that be.
Well Jason and I never stop do we? This week we dissect which city Gotham really is. Decide who’s better Keaton or Bale. Explain musical theater hot. And of course bring up how much Jason hates 500 days of Summer. He really really does. Happy Dark Knight Thursday everyone!
The Dark Knight Returns or Rises WHATEVER OK!
It’s post number 100 and what better way to celebrate than with my lil bro talking about Spiderman and how much he lovvvvvvvvvves Marc Webb. Also if you can’t tell we were well into our 96th ounce of high percentage barley wine. So if we sound a little slow blame the French Canadian gypsy beer.
